This book could be enjoyable as a beginning guide to inspire initial empowerment, but it is far too basic beyond that point. The picture was taken during the beginning process of the establishment of the Commission on Black Girls created by Council member Tyson. Women who are authentic, offer us the space to talk, be HEARD and who cheer so fucking loud for us when we succeed or need the motivation to go on.
