The hardest part was getting the poles in place *until* I realized the instructions were for a different design — they show a tab with a grommet-like hole for the ends of the poles. This 7x9 tent has a different design, however — a split ring with a small pin attached. If you have this design, just insert the pin at each corner into the end of each pole. Fallen leaves are often considered just a visual problem, but not removing them before they have a chance to sink can cause all sorts of issues. As leaves and other organic matter sink to the bottom of your pond, they begin to decompose and contribute to sludge. During the decomposition process bacteria break down the waste and compounds are released into the pond that can harm fish and promote the overgrowth of algae. They do not require a fly or liner and are completely watertight and will not leak. They resist condensation build up because the shingled construction drives out moist air by vapor pressure. The dome has more volume than a flat-sided tent meaning it feels, and is, more spacious. Affordable
We offer four types of FIsh and Koi Pond Covers: Cover Domes, Cover Tops, Cover Shells, and CrystalCave Covers. The Cover Tops are the top portion of Domes. The Cover Shell has a flatter curve. The CrystalCave Cover works well for rectangular ponds. Generally speaking, purchasing pond netting with small/medium (3/8 – 1/2 inch) size mesh holes will provide protection from both leaves and predators effectively. This is the best size to combat both debris and predators, and is the most common with most pond netting manufacturers. Time will tell for the netting and the sleeves that hold the poles, which is where similar things I’ve owned have failed after a few years of sun exposure. - The stakes are not great. I used them for the skirt-like base, but with little confidence. I used beefier stakes I had on hand for the four wind lines. Pond Safety Covers
A signature will be required upon delivery unless we have authorisation from you that the goods can be left. A more heavy duty pond netting by Dewitt, which offers increased strength due to it’s knitted 1/4″ mesh design. While most netting is usually constructed with 3/4″ and 3/8″ mesh, Dewitt’s much smaller holes means it can be bound much tighter together, increasing its overall durability. The finer mesh design also helps with much smaller debris collection, being able to catch both very small and very large objects falling into the pond. Pond netting comes in lots of different sizes and you can trim it to fit your pond or get a pond net custom made. Dome covers are easy to install over the top of your pond but in winter you’ll need to clear away the snow to prevent them collapsing from the weight of the snow.
